Ephesians 6:13-15

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

Our Youth Group (for junior high and high school students) meets every other Sunday (September through May) from 4:30-5:30 pm.  There is an additional half an hour of meeting for the high school students only.  Not only do students participate in discussion activities concerning surviving in a secular world, but they also indulge in snacks and games!  Besides the regular meetings, several special meetings are held throughout the year (ie. Christmas Caroling).

One of the mandates of the Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations was for Intentional Faith Development. As we discussed these practices in our Lenten discussion group, we agreed as to how important faith development was. One question was, how could the church aid someone in his or her faith development? One answer to that question is by giving individuals tools that can help him or her in his or her faith journey. That is what SOAP is about.
