Three Simple Rules

If you haven't seen the Bishop's Article on the "Convocation of Extended Cabinets," take some time to read through it. In it he gives some pretty good direction for local churches.

Several things caught my eye, but I really liked the following:

Three simple rules for living as United Methodists: “Do no harm; do good; and stay in love with God.”

I think those three simple rules are good direction for any United Methodist. Those three simple rules sum up John Wesley's focus for his class meetings.

Perhaps it is time, as United Methodists, that we again focus on those three simple rules. It is hard telling the transformation we would discover if we lived by them!
